What platforms are integrated that creators can post monetized videos to?
Our creators can distribute their videos outside of Curastory to Instagram Reels, YouTube Video, YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Facebook. Watch all with one click.
How are videos matched to the right brand partners for ad reads?
There are five criteria we use to match the right brand partners to videos for ad reads. Those five criteria are: video topics, like fitness or cooking, video monetization rates, and audience demographics, including gender, age, location, and household income.
How long should videos be?
We suggest anywhere from 2 - 10 minutes for a good viewing experience across Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook Watch.
How do creators let viewers know they’re watching an ad read in videos?
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) states that an end-user needs to know when they are viewing an ad. With static posts, typically creators have to add the hashtag: #ad or designate that it's a sponsored post or paid partnership in writing. With video ad reads, creators can abide by the FTC rules by just saying that "this is sponsored by" or "this is an ad for" within their video without selecting "paid promotion" box on the social media platforms that is used to de-promote the video in the platform therefore obtaining less views.
Will creators be paid for aggregate views across all platforms?
Creators will receive payment on aggregate views across all of the platforms that are posted to.
Do you offer exclusivity across competing brands for creators?
There is no exclusivity. We pride ourselves on allowing our creators to accept ad reads from brand partners as they see fit.
Do creators have any conflicts with their talent agreements when using Curastory?
No, we have an option for creators to browse our brand partners and add a company to their account settings as a non-compete agreement. Creators inform us if an ad spot bid on their video is in conflict with their non-compete agreements. If so, that brand is not able to bid on their videos anymore until they remove the other competitive brand partner from their account settings.
Who are the creators in your network?
The 40,000 creators within our network currently are nano, micro and macro professional athletes, student athletes, and fitness creators. Including, but not limited to the NBA, NFL, Olympians, WNBA, NCAA and everyday fitness creators.
How long does the monetization of my video last?
For right now, 4 months, which means you must keep the video with the embedded ad read up on your social media channels for 4 months. We are currently working on rolling out lifetime monetization.
Can I change the projected price on my video?
Yes. If you have a minimum rate per 1,000 views on your video, we suggest you set your monetization preference to “Review top 3 bids from brand brand partners and accept one,” as well as state in your bio that you will not accept any ad read bids below your per 1,000 views rate.
Can I edit my videos outside of the app?
Yes, you are more than welcome to use your own editing tools and upload an already edited video to Curastory.
Do you connect me with the brand partner?
Outside of you receiving script and ad read details from the brand partner for your uploaded video, we do not connect you with the brand partner. However, you are more than welcome to form an official relationship with the brand partner outside of Curastory. Just be sure to note them as a non-compete brand contract in your account settings to limit ad reads sent to you.
How often will I get paid?
As long as creators have $10 in their account balance, they are able to pay themselves out and that will show up in the connected Stripe account along with the 2.9% Stripe processing fee each bank account credit.
How much money will I make?
It depends. Monetization is based on how many views your video gets once you post to all your video channels starting at $30 every 1,000 views with no minimum video viewership size for you to start receiving monetization.
How is Curastory different from an influencer platform?
At Curastory, we have built the first programmatic media buying solution for influencer content. This allows brand partners to select their campaign preferences, input their budget, and submit scripts for matched creators to quickly record spoken spots, add to their videos, and post.
How long does each campaign last?
4 months. We project how many views within the 4 month time frame that videos in our platform will receive once posted, staying conscious of your budget. We are currently working on rolling out lifetime ad reads, so creators can leave your messaging in their videos forever.
How much will each campaign cost?
It depends. All of the videos in Curastory start at $30 CPM. You can optimize your campaign by approving quick previews of a few videos on the platform matching your campaign targeting criteria and budget. You will not be debited for the video with your embedded video ad read until it is performing in real time on the creator’s channels.
Does it cost extra to have a creator shoot an ad or to use the platform?
We have no hidden fees. Our platform is free to use and run ad read campaigns with the budget you have in mind.
Am I able to choose to only run ad campaigns for the top creators in the platform?
Yes. Make sure to adjust the engagement targets to what you deem sufficient for top creators. Rule of thumb we follow is macro above 100K, micro 100K — 10K, and nano below 10K.
Does my brand also own rights to the video?
Once you are the official brand partner for the video and creator-recorded ad read, your brand has exclusive licensing rights over the video for 4 months. The creator still has full ownership rights over the video and has granted you exclusive licensing for the duration of the 4 months. You can read more on that in our terms of service.
How can I send a creator product to shoot an ad?
When you submit your ad details that include the script for the creator, we recommend you also include a product checkout link with a free promo or discounted product code. You must explicitly give instructions in the ad details input text box for the creator to order the product and shoot with it in their video ad.
How are you able to optimize my campaign spend across thousands of videos on your platform before being posted to social media?
When bidding on your behalf for creator ad reads, we make note of your budget to not allocate all of your campaign spend on one video in order to diversify your product placements across the internet. We give priority to your campaign if you do not yet have a bid in and where you have more content tags that match the video.
How do you calculate return on ad spend conversions (ROAS)?
When you connect and authorize us access to your Facebook, Google Analytics, and Shopify accounts during setup, we collect over 100 data inputs to determine your return on ad spend conversions from our creator videos.

How often will I get charged?
Your primary connected credit card in your account settings will be charged weekly with performance of your ad campaigns.
