Curastory Creator Rewards, Relaunched

Allow us to reintroduce ourselves. Or at least our Creator Rewards program, that is.

We’re re-launching our referral program to simplify things for creators and make sure that you enjoy as much upside in helping grow the Curastory platform, as quickly as possible. But first, let’s take a step back.

What is a referral program?

Let’s start with the basics.

Using Shopify’s take on the subject, a referral program is a system that incentivizes previous customers to recommend your products to their family and friends. A supercharged word-of-mouth strategy to basically promote service to people you already know and trust.

And that’s precisely what makes this strategy so powerful. It brings together the possibility of getting an immediate reward (or commission), supporting your personal brand’s growth, and driving your audience or close ones closer to a service you personally use.

In another way, ReferralRock explains what referrals are in a nutshell too, but from a different angle:

“A referral program is a marketing tactic that encourages your existing customers to share your brand with their friends, colleagues, and family members. In exchange for their effort, a referral program usually offers customers a reward, such as a gift card, discount, points, or swag.”

Straight to the point, right?

So, in a nutshell, referral programs are a significant growth strategy to reach an immediate reward for spreading the word about a particular product, service, or brand.

This allows the referred brand to track where the new users came from and tune their strategy to get more customers. The beauty of social reach.

The importance of referring

Forbes said it best. Referral sales require little to no financial investment. They bring in incredibly valuable, warm leads all while making those leads easier to close and transform into clients.

That’s why referral programs as a sales and marketing technique never go out of fashion – it allows both the brand and the referral program affiliate to get immediate results or rewards. A win-win situation all the way.

In fact, there are more powerful facts about referrals that just can’t be ignored, like Social Media Today said:

  • It provides a higher lead quality. 78% of B2B marketers say that referral programs generate good or excellent leads.
  • More leads equal more sales opportunities. 60% of marketers say that referral programs generate a high volume of information.
  • Leads are way more affordable. 54% say that referral programs have a lower cost-per-lead than other channels.

What’s best is that referral programs are not just a trend. This growth channel enables and empowers creators and businesses to increase their profits in a heartbeat.

And (spoiler alert!) that’s something we’ve been doing for a while at Curastory, and we’ll break it down so you can start making the most out of it.

Now, how does the new program work?

It’s quite simple. If you have a fellow creator that you think could be a good fit for Curastory, simply send them to this link.

When they fill out the initial page, and click, “Get Started” they’ll see a “How Did You Hear About Us?” survey. Simply tell your friend to select, “referral” and enter your name in the free text field. That’s it!

So what’s in it for you? Well aside from helping us advance our mission of expanding access to brands for creators, you’ll earn 5% of your referral’s campaigns (taken from our cut, not theirs) for the first 12 months they’re active on the platform.

New creators you refer to Curastory also get an immediate reward for joining the creator community: They get 0 video fees for their first month as an official member of the Curastory crew.

P.S. This is limited to active Curastory Creators (hopefully like yourself, uploading videos every month into Curastory)

P.S.S. Referral payouts are at the end of each quarter, using Stripe.

Easy peasy, fam.

And, as always, reach out to us if you have any questions about how this program works and how to use it best.

Until next time,

– The Curastory Team
